History
The club was formed in 1931 and originally comprised of members who could do a 'century'. It should be remembered that this feat was undertaken prior to the invention of "Tri-bars" and most of the technology modern bikes now have as standard. This entry requirement has since been waived.
The 2011 edition club racing colours can be seen on the left.

Activities
For 24 years the club organised the Tour of the Kingdom, one of the top races in Britain, and was a main event in the Premier Calendar series. Today we enjoy training and racing both on and off-road along with other Fife clubs. On the 2nd Sunday in Feb [NB 16/2/14!] we run our Reliability Trials. In September [22/9/13] we run an Autumn 'Sportive'. Most of the year there are Saturday & Sunday morning training runs. On Saturday the Glenrothes group leaves Colydean Footbridge 9:30 and meets the North Fife group near Cupar (Uthroggle) at 10am.

Racing season
During the racing season from April to September there are Tuesday training runs and mid-week time trial racing. There is also a scenic 12.6 mile TT round Loch Leven.

Off season
During the off-season from Oct - March there are 1hr+ training runs on Tuesday at 6:30. See the schedule for options of short steady laps of a street-lit circiut, or longer faster laps around the town.

Club Meetings
Monthly Club meetings are usually held in Lumsden Hall, Freuchie at 7:30pm.
Apr→Sept - the first Monday of each month & Oct→Mar - the first Wednesday of each month.

New members and enquirers welcome.

 Saturday

Glenrothes group meets at foot bridge (between Pitcoudie/Colydean) on Western Avenue 9:30. Ride out to Uthroggle (near deer farm, Cupar) for 10:00. Approx. 20 mile run round by Letham, Moonzie & Lindores to finish at Lumqhuat. We are currently replacing the double loop at the 'Ayton' triangle with the single 'Moonzie' triangle. (Take care on the right turns!) All are welcome and riders are grouped on ability. Hard shell safety helmets are strongly advised for training runs. In wet weather please use mudguards as a consideration to other riders.
